M for Minute

The ten-minute wait at an occupied loo

Happening at every station, the last adieu

I’m the one hour delay on your first date

I’m ‘Just a Minute’

Few moments before the start

The touch up to an enthralling art

I’m the consoling served on an empty plate

I’m ‘Just a minute’

The savior of absent-minded humankind

The habit of every magnificent mind

I’m a procrastinator’s ‘missed it’ mistake

I’m ‘Just a minute’

The junction of certainty and doubt

I quantify time, I’m sober yet soused

I’m the escape from the prison of fate

I’m much more than ‘Just a Minute’.
