Step 1 : Research & Ideation
Objective:
To create a tourism campaign for the city of Nagpur, highlighting the 5 best spots to watch sunrises and sunsets within 50 Kms from the city center.
Scope:
1. Research about the city's tourist destinations.
2. Compare and shortlist the 5 best spots, basis their history and natural aesthetics.
3. Collaboration with social media influencers.
4. Travelling to the location and shooting
Step 2 : Shooting
Scope:
1. Travelling to various locations.
2. Shooting mostly with drones, to give a previously unseen perspective of the city's destinations.
Step 3 : Script-writing and Post-Production
Scope:
1. Writing the script for voice-over.
2. Editing, sound-designing, and color-grading 5 separate Instagram reels and one campaign finale.
Result : 5 Under 50 Tourism Campaign
Conclusion
Learnings about self:
I can work under pressure and finish a video for an urgent deadline. (Had 24 hours to produce the campaign finale for a presentation with State Tourism Board.)
Other Learnings:
1. Always be careful about the drone's battery capacity and return it in time.
2. Check memory card and other aspects twice before flying the drone, or you may unknowingly lose a lot of good footage.
3. Seasons have a huge impact on a place's beauty, so choose the shooting season accordingly.
