as I walk towards the shore
to dip, dive, bathe & heal the sore
parts within & without
to filter myself of all my sins & doubts
I see him, her, them and in them,
myself heading back
having cleansed
my body of all the smoke, liquor, and lust
with my head high and a higher trust
in myself and others, my sisters and brothers,
in humanity and life, in my father and his wife
I see him, her, them & in them,
myself walking away from the shore
towards me, the crowd of uncleansed whores
awaiting their turn
to cleanse the dirt,
and as he walks farther away & further closer
slowly fading into my crowd, blurring in with the rovers
I blink & he's gone, none & in crores
the me that walked towards the shore,
from the shore.
